Reporters from The Mentor met with representatives from Nurture, a global humanitarian relief organization, to discuss the current situation in Thibaw. Nurture humanitarians Heather Mattingly and John Deveau are currently exploring ways to help the people of Thibaw. According to Ms. Mattingly, “the standard of living of [Thibawian] citizens is way below satisfactory.” She added that the organization seeks to “empower local communities by creating a self-sustaining culture.”
