Fears for Shiloh and Wordsworth Prospects in Thibaw

Yesterday's Press Conference by the Government of Thibaw which confirmed that Thibawan and Chinese forces would work in harmony to guarantee security along Thibaw's Northern Border has been interpreted by analysts as indicating that Thibaw has accepted, however reluctantly, that China will play a major role in the future of Thibaw.

"This almost certainly means that the Chinese state oil and gas company EnCathay will play a dominant role in the development of Thibaw's hydrocarbon resources," says respected analyst Rebecca Goldsworthy. "It also implies much reduced scope for foreign companies such as Wordsworth and Shiloh".

The markets appear to agree since Wordsworth closed yesterday at 271 and Shiloh at 6.63.
