Energy News
Over the last few days, an explosion on a rig in the North Sea, co-owned by Wordsworth and Shiloh, and operated by Wordsworth, has caused a rig down situation that has brought into question the efficiency of Wordsworth as a drilling operator.
Due to the damaging effects of this explosion on both companies’ production targets, OBI will scrutinize their dealings in Thibaw to make sure their production goals do not compromise their ethical standards.
In other energy news, Shiloh is now contemplating pulling out of Thibaw due to the lack of formal response from the government on their proposal for drilling and production rights. Prompted in part by the 25% buyout of Shiloh by EnCathay, Shiloh is concerned about their economic risks in Thibaw and is prepared to act in the best interest of their stakeholders.
